This memorial site was created in loving memory of my son
Willie Earl Fortune, who was born in Memphis, Tn. on
July 31, 1959 and passed away on May 23, 2004 in
Memphis, Tn.
He left behind a wife, Martha Fortune. He also left behind his
Mother, Barbara King & Father, James Fortune.
Willie had four sisters, Janet White, Deborah Welch, Peggy Sanchez,
& Stephanie Barber.
Willie had only one brother whom he loved and admired -
James Fortune Jr.
My son was a very loving man. He loved his family with all his
heart.
He was a happy little boy growing up and grew to be a
happy young man.

No amount of gold could ever compare,
to the gift of love that my son shares.
I've been blind and I couldn't see
that all the love I've wanted is right here in front of me.
He gives reason to get through another day,
Maybe its how he loves me in his special little way.
And when it gets hard for me to sleep at night,
He wraps his little arms around me
& says God will make things right.
From sweet gentle touches to his bear hugs and kiss,
That great big Kool-aid smile & the twinkle in his eyes.
Every time I look at him it makes me want to cry,
But they're not tears of sorrow they're tears of pride & joy.
To know that all the love in Heaven
is wrapped around my little boy
- MOM -
I love you, Son
God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be,
So he wrapped his arms around you
And whispered, "Come With Me"

~ A MOTHER'S LOVE ~
There is no love like a mothers love ,no stronger bond on earth---
Like the precious bond that comes from God ,to a mother, when she gives birth.
A mother's love is forever strong, never changing for all time---
And when her children need her most, A mother's love will shine.
God bless these special mothers, God bless them everyone---
For all the tears and heartache, and for the special work they've done.
When her days on earth are over,A mothers love lives on---
Through many generations with God's blessings on each one.
Be thankful for our mothers for they love with a higher love---
From the power God has given and the strength from up above.

Our Beautiful Son,
Willie

In tears I saw you sinking,
I watched you fade away.
You suffered much in silence,
You fought so hard to stay.
You faced your task with courage,
Your spirit did not bend.
And still you kept on fighting,
Until the very end.
God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you,
And whispered come to me.
So when I saw you sleeping,
So peaceful free from pain.
I could not wish you back
to suffer that again.
LOVE YOU SHORTY
JIMMY

Thinking of You
You are a brother that truly shines
Bright as a star in the darkest of times.
Knowing you're my brother
Makes me so proud
You would stand out
In any crowd.
You my brother I truly Love
You're as bright as the stars
That shine up above
I hear your voice
And I see your face
But your not here
You're all over the place
I miss your touch
And I miss your kiss
I miss everything
That there is to miss.
Love, Janet
